I founded Christina Rius Homes™ to help international families make a home in Barcelona. Before interior design became my full professional focus, I spent 25 years in real estate development in Spain, and that time taught me to look at a property beyond its surface: how a decision will affect daily life, where the investment is worth making, and how to protect the long-term appeal and value of the home.

I begin with the family, not a predetermined look. I want to know how you really live — what your days look like, what matters to you at home, which rooms you actually use, whether you like having people around the table and whether relatives come to stay for weeks at a time. I listen to your own ideas carefully, because they tell me more about how you want to live than any brief could. When something is not viable, I say so and look for an alternative that works.

I tend to listen more than I speak, and I guide from experience rather than imposing an aesthetic. My role is to translate how a family lives into decisions that are coherent, practical and appropriate for the property, without losing warmth, character or personality. The home feels welcoming, comfortable and genuinely good to live in, and you are glad to stay in it.
